April 2010

Here we are back at Sullivan Bay and so glad that spring has arrived!!  Our winter caretakers Marie and Roch were happy to see us come in. They said they did not see a lot of snow however it was quite a windy winter and had bad winds early April. Beautiful weather here now. Spring has finally arrived!!

Chris and I are busy getting ready for the 2010 season.  Buddy has adjusted quite well again and still trying to get himself a mink!!  No sign of George, the blue heron yet and our friend Elvis the pigeon took flight sometime in February hopefully to warmer weather.  No swallows yet!

Our “line up” for the up coming season so far is:

June 1st – Our restaurant will be open for another season.  Our menu will be changed a bit and every Sunday throughout the season will be Thanksgiving Turkey Sunday!!  Come in and check out our other added specials.  Don’t forget to stop in for homemade pies, turnovers and other fresh baked good!!

July 1st  2nd Annual Canada Day Booze Cruise - remember to wear red and white and your lifejacket, bring a chair and hop on board!!

July 4th  Annual Independence Day Celebration – dress up and participate in the parade, barbeque and live band in the evening. For those of you who did not win the dingy race last year you will have another chance to claim the title and take it from Jean and John on the MV Pelican.  The winner will receive one nights free moorage and will also have a prize for the “best dressed” participant. Check out our website sullivanbay.com go to photos and see the dingy race photos.  We are working on having a couple of well know celebrity lifeguards to join us and watch over the race!!  Come on in and see what’s happening.  Hope to see you here!!  To ensure a spot please book your reservation at sullivanbaymarina@gmail.com.

We hope to see a lot of our past boating friends and look forward to meeting new ones!!!

Safe travels up to the Broughton’s!!!
