UPDATES:

GLOBAL STAR FIXED BASE SATELLITE PHONE

After being here for 28 years we finally jumped into  the 21st century last year. As many of you know we had some major success with our new Global Star system and also some  frustration with it, but I think with a little luck we will have full time phone use and possibly satellite internet in the restaurant.

GETTING TO KNOW US

For all the new boaters that are thinking of joining us, we have owned and operated Sullivan Bay since the70's. With  some dreams, hard work, and  a lot of help we have become the Destination Marina that we are today. We have boaters leaving their boats from a few days to the whole season with us, they are checked daily and if a grocery list is left with us can also be provisioned upon your return.

As you come around the corner and enter our bay you will see the private homes, buildings of downtown, moored boats and people out enjoying themselves and taking pictures of the many funny signs that you will find around every corner. Bring your sense of humor.

You may catch the Sullivan Bay Open with all the great boating golfers teeing off at our one hole water golf course. Any old golf balls would be much appreciated. Or take a walk downtown and check out the painted propane tanks, dock signs such as Main Street and Fish Alley or the largest of catch of the day painted on the dock. Our flowers will give you that shot of color to replace the green, gray and blue of the hillsides and sky, and we are always looking for you gardeners that are going into withdrawal. On your walk downtown  feel free to pinch off a couple of dead flowers or pluck a few of those nasty weeds that sneak up in a hot summer. You will have to watch your speed on the docks, no running, or  you could get taken to the Sullivan Bay Brig.

In the time we have been at Sullivan Bay we have raised two seals, and one child, gone through two tsunami warnings, one fire and many more adventures. If you are around long enough you will probably bump into Pat who can give you a better idea of our history, or catch Lynn and Trish in the store to fill in where Pat left off. You will find all our staff  helpful and also more than willing to tell some tall tales of their own or embellish on old ones. We all look forward to seeing you this summer and will be standing by waiting for your call on channel 66A. See you there!

Lynn, Pat, Trish,  and all our staff
